Onboarding – End of Tour Assistance

You have exited the State of Utah new employee onboarding application. There are two tours or modules within this application and we encourage you to complete both of them as soon as possible.

The first tour called “Completing the Hiring Process,” should be completed before your first day of work to ensure that your records are accurate and that all hiring requirements have been met.

The second tour called “Welcome to State Employment” should be completed by the end of your third day of work.

Below are some helpful tips if you are not sure where you are in the Onboarding completion status:

    • I have not yet completed tour one, “Completing the Hiring Process”  – If possible, please return to and complete this module before your first day of employment.  On your first day of work, you will need to have your personal information and section on of the Employee Eligibility Verification form (I9) completed so that your right to work in the United States can be verified according to law.
    • I have completed tour one, but  have not begun tour two, “Welcome to State Employment.” – Thank you for completing this tour.  Please remember to bring documents establishing your identity and right to work in the United States with you on your first day of work.  Please also bring your social security card so that a photocopy of it can be made to ensure accuracy for payroll records.  Please return to complete the second onboarding tour as soon as you are able, but no later than by the end of your third day of employment.
    • I have begun tour 2, “Welcome to State Employment,” but have not yet completed it. – Please complete this module before the end of your third day.
    • I have completed both tours of  the onboarding application. – Thank you for completing these processes.  If you are in a benefitted position, you will be receiving an email message from the State of Utah (onboarding@utah.gov) with information about enrolling in the State’s benefit plan options.  This email will be sent to the email address you provided during the application process.  You may also receive benefits enrollment information in the mail.  The messages may be filtered into your “SPAM” or “JUNK” folders, please watch for these messages. 

To return to the onboarding application, please use the link and logon credentials you were sent via your personal email account previously.  If you have any questions about your onboarding status, please call ERIC, the Employee Information Resource Center, at 801-538-3742 (Salt Lake Local) or 855-707-3742 (toll free outside of Salt Lake area).
