Long Term Disability (LTD)

Long Term Disability (LTD) is a safety net designed to replace your income should you become disabled and are unable to work. This benefit is paid in full by your employer. Dental Benefits

State employees can choose from five different dental plans: PEHP Preferred Choice has a small deductible and a low premium. PEHP Traditional has no deductible, with a bit higher premium than the Preferred Choice plan. Regence Expressions offered through Regence of Utah, does not have a deductible and offers a national network of providers. This plan has the highest premium of the five plans offered. COBRA Insurance

COBRA, The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation ACT, is designed to allow eligible employees and their covered dependents to continue health insurance when employer based coverage is no longer available. COBRA is not available if an employee is terminated for “gross misconduct.” A State of Utah employee who has lost medical coverage is responsible to contact PEHP within 60 days of a qualifying event.
